Coffee Time with Of the Heart Poet, William - Welcome to another morning on the Exposing My Heart Bike Journey of Poetry. Today, I'm waking up in my tent on a beautiful beach in Taiwan, looking out at the ocean and reflecting on what we truly need in this life. In this video, I invite you to join me for a simple, yet intentional, morning ritual: making my own coffee right at my campsite. While it’s easy to look for a Starbucks, there is something profound about slowing down and preparing a "Poet’s Brew" with ingredients that keep the body and spirit strong. As the water boils on my camp stove, I’m adding Vietnamese coffee, honey, cinnamon, olive oil, ginger, and even garlic—each chosen for its ability to support my immune system while I ride 40–50 miles a day. "Journey is not merely a word, it is an experience". As I look over this horizon, I am reminded that we often surrender our most valuable asset: our time. We allow society and routine to steal the moments we could be spending with God and ourselves. I am out here to leave the earth empty, sharing the redemption of Christ with everyone I meet—like Nico and Nicole, who I spoke with just yesterday.
